Sitting at the courtside row has many benefits in comparison to the rows of seats behind them. People would expect to rub elbows with the rich and famous, as courtside seats have long been a status symbol. But primarily it is to simply be the closest to the action of the FBA court, being just inches away from players at times. However there are certain downsides to having the priviledge of shelling out even over a thousand dollars for such a seat... Ever since Adam Tevela was drafted to the FBA in 2014, his parents Robert and Maria Tevela always took the time and money to sit at courtside during his road games at Santa Ana. Through Adam's highs and low points, his controversies and scandals, his parents always supported him, and whenever reporters asked them why they would support him even after news break out on his womanizing history, they always answered that their love for their son is unconditional. When Adam signed to play with the San Jose Thrust, they would occassionally take the 350-mile journey to San Jose to watch his games there, obviously at courtside. Today, the Thrust's last scheduled game before the FBA's Christmas break, they were at attendance to cheer on their son as his team faced the visiting Plymouth Taproots. As it been the case for multiple seasons now, match-ups between the Thrust and Taproots had been hyped up with some anticipation due to Thrust's Adam Tevela and Taproots' Yesina Selas having a long and horried personal hatred and rivalry. But this time was different, with many saying that this game might be rather tame between the two enemies due to Tevela's parents present. For most of the game, they were in their best behavior... until halfway through the fourth quarter. With the ball in Taproot's possession, a pass by Advit H Dhokia gets deflected in mid-air and Yesina Selas immediately ran after it to save possession for the team, only her forward momentum was too much and she flew in the air just as the ball went out of bounds, and her body crashed right onto several people that were sitting at courtside. Namely Robert and Maria Tevela. The San Jose crowd gasped as they saw Yesina's body laying clumsily on top of the two elder linsangs, and while Yesina rolled off of them, Maria Tevela remained on the floor, bleeding from an apparent lemur elbow landing squarely on her muzzle. A crowd of concerned fans around them start to gesture wildly for the medics and security but the Thrust players quickly realized what had happened and most of their eyes turned to Adam. As he was sitting on the bench at the time, he didn't even realize what had happened until he looked up at the screens above the court and saw the replay of Yesina's collusion with his parents. Thankfully Adam's teammates braced for the inevitable and quickly blocked him as he suddenly stood up from his bench and started a beeline toward Yesina, using his 6'9" body to literally attempt jumping over some of his shorter teammates as an attempt to reach for her. He screamed out in sheer anger at her, obviously thinking she harmed his own parents on purpose, and several of his curse words were caught by microphones in the live TV broadcast. The crowd started to boo as players of both teams made every effort to keep Adam and Yesina apart, but finally Adam's concern for his parents took over his senses and he turned to tend to them as the medics finally arrived at courtside. Eventually Maria Tevela stood up with a towel and bandages over her nose, and after Adam's parents were escorted out to be properly treated, the game continued on. Latest reports stated that both Robert and Maria Tevela will be fine and had been released from the arena's medical room. As for Yesina, she repeatedly stated after the game that it was only an accident, but obviously there will be a lot of debate on whether it really was or not.
