Raise your hand if you thought the Lorain Firestorm was going to blow this away as much as they did against the Lonestars. If you have them up, you're a horrible liar. The storm was able to make a huge statement against the Texas Lone Stars in Texas by winning in the most dominant fashion so far this season with a 21 point victory. Maybe even the last two years.

In a game that the odd makers believed the Storm had very minimal chance of beating the 2014-2015 Plains Division champs, The Firestom were able to prove doubters wrong and then some. Aisha Melbourne (Mink, F/C) was able to give another star like performance as she earned yet another double double with 26 pts and 13 rebs and Zack Plushpaw (Pine Marten, G) is handling the starting time on the court very well since the Michelle Sundos (Genet, G) has been down for the past couple of games.

Overall the team's depth has been no joke so far this season. Even with the 3-4 start, The Lorain Firestorm is far from being a bottom dwelling team as they were a year prior. Given that they gave both the Hawaii Kahunas and the Dakota Bikers a huge battle in every minute of those games, Lorain could make more noise than anyone originally thought.

As for Texas, this maybe more than just a "Missing Buckner" problem. This has been the third straight game that the Stars have lost by over 10 points and the second out of the last three games they have lost by 20 or more. Even with the switch from the rookie François Martineau (Golden Retriever, G) to Mitchell Redding (Rabbit, G), it still has not helped their recent woes. Right now the biggest question may be this: Are the Texas Lone Stars giving their all every game?

Right now it may not be the case, especially when, outside of Martineau, the bench had their worst performance all season long with a combined 22 points compared to Lorain who had 31 total. Also the mental mistakes have taken it's tole as the Lone Stars had double the amount turnovers (13-7). The Stars need to think of something to be able to rejuvenate in order to hang out with the tough Western crowd if they want to return to the playoffs.

The Firestorm will end their 4 game road trip at Vegas as they go against the Las Vegas Wildcards as they try to get their first winning streak this season on December 22nd. While the Lone Stars will get a crack against a stronger, yet inconsistent Tennessee Moonshiners squad on their back to back night home game stand and hope to get a win to help their momentum.
