Biography

Early Life

"We still love you Marcen...we just don't love each other anymore..." From there, it felt like nothing could be stable for him. But...that wasn't the case. Half of his life in Montana on the reservation with his mother and half with his father in Florida, sunny Tampa to be exact. As a young kit, it was a tough adjustment for Marcen at first to essentially live two lives. He would often distract himself by burying himself in physical stuff.

Even from a young age, Marcen took his health and physical ability seriously. With no control over the split life he had but knew he could control himself and his own wellbeing. From runs around the track and pushups on the beach to pullups and lifting weights in his spare time. Needless to say he grew up healthy and strong. Something that would help him in all the pickup games he'd get roped into. Wetwork like that helped him standout in middle school where he'd meet his now longtime friend Liam Hendrix, growing chemistry on the court with his close friend that led them to some glory, making a couple runs at a state title and notching one.

High School

Even at the tender age of fifteen, Marcen was able to hang tough with even lower end college players and carried himself as such. A lot of close calls with state championship glory early would harden him and lead to success. All in his high school career he'd find himself bagging an undefeated season and two states appearances with a state title victory.

Off court he continued to be a friend to Liam and helped his masked buddy through some of the harder points in his life as well as learning a bit of gratitude for his own life and what he had. Knowing the tragedy and heartache he'd gone though, Marcen learned to love the family he had better even if they were apart and it left him living two lives. They didn't hold animosity against one another, why should he? A little lesson in gratitude.

College

Ruby Valley, a notably smaller college but Liam mentioned it was his first pick so who was he to break up the bromance? Not to mention, for being smaller time it had a lot to offer far as clubs and recreation went. Certainly had an eclectic spread of hobbies, involved with everything from the honor roll to the punk clique, which painted a lot of his clothing style as he entered into his adulthood. He'd even end up getting some ink, a little love letter to the native side of his heritage.

In addition to growing into his own person, Marcen grew as a player. He became quite the leader for the small but mighty basketball program hosted at Ruby Valley. Alongside Liam, Marcen showed he was up to every bit of the promise he was billed for. Masterful at shooting the ball long, crafty getting it inside and tenacious fighting for the rock. In truth he never sought fame but it seemed to find him. Throughout his four collegiate seasons, he began to get asked if he had plans on going further. He stayed surprisingly quiet on it until his senior season where when hearing the question for about the hundredth or so time he gave them a nod and a wink with a simple yes.
