INJURY: Theodore Dunn (Black Cat, G/F) was injured (Back strain) and will miss 6 games.

Things started ominously for the Keystones. On the very first shot of the game, a seemingly routine jumpshot blocked by Siegfried Romanoren (White Lion, C/F), Theodore Dunn (Black Cat, G/F) pulled up short and immediately left the court, clutching his side. The seven-year veteran had to be helped to the dressing room and the cat did not come back. It was later revealed the ebon feline had strained his back, leaving the Keystones without one of the league's top 3-point shooters for at least the next two weeks.

Fortunately for Black, the rest of the Pennsylvania squad had his back, no pun intended. Solid performances from both teams' starters and rookie Mahmud Zarif (Addax, G/F), who coach Anton Schumacher (Eurasian Lynx, HC) had moved into the spot unexpectedly vacated by Black, kept it close, and the game entered halftime tied at 47. After the half, however, the Keystones turned up the firepower, outscoring the home team by 8, a deficit Edmonton was unable to recover from despite a stellar 23-point performance from Unknown FBA Player. Though starter Terrence Tolliver (Pronghorn, G) earned another Player of the Game honor, the real key to victory for Pittsburgh was their depth; Pittsburgh bench and reserve outscored their Edmonton counterparts by a whopping 47 to 15.

Both teams entered the night with identical 26 and 23 records. With the victory the Keystones improve to 27 and 23, and lead in the closely contested Central Division. They are now 5 and 5 over their last ten games, and travel to Billings to face the Howlers on Sunday.

INJURY: Unknown FBA Player was injured (Overextended knee) and will miss 9 games.

A day that was filled with controversy swirling around the Bikers, including some sniping on twitter between team mates, the atmosphere was tense in Sofawolf Stadium. And when Barnaby Jazz checked in for Daniel Quvianuq in the 1st, there were some light cat calls from the crowd. Midway through the 2nd, Jazz and Buck Hopper tangled in an attempt for a rebound. Replays showed a hip check from Jazz knocked Hopper's balance off, causing the guard to fall awkwardly and hyper-extend his knee. Hopper is expected to miss the next two weeks due to the injury, and Jazz was sat, not to return in the game.

The Bikers turned the injury into a rallying point, and turned the game rather one sided, Dylan Redfield, Jack Wayans, and Ryan Malone all looking visibly angry, and playing with more drive than has been witnessed lately. The locker room was closed to reporters after the game, and the coach's press conference didn't answer questions about Jazz, and were light on questions about Hopper. This will be a situation to watch.
