Halley Adrian Leonards is a Professinal FBA basketball player, drafted for the Winnipeg Voyageurs selected 5th overall in the 2025 FBA Draft, along side with Victor Bukhov, who was selected at 29th.

Biography

Halley was born on February 11th, 2007, in a San Diego hospital, but he was raised back in his hometown, San Francisco. He was named after Halley Summers, who was one of the FBA's greatest players of all time. His father was a professional basketball player but only at the college level at best, and his mother was a pro netball player. He was mostly into watching cartoons and playing video games as normal rabbits do, but sports were pretty much his daily activities when he was forced to play outside by his parents.

He mostly just plays volleyball, soccer, in-line hockey, and basketball with his 4 siblings. But his chances of making it in the FBA was slim to none, because his parents didn’t force him to become a professional basketball player. Halley started playing it at 12 years old, despite being the MVP as a striker in his Youth Soccer League, Immediately after he picked up basketball, Halley was hooked. His Sister, Jamie Leonards (professional ice hockey player) quoted “I remember watching him inside of our house while he was dribbling, and shooting around on his new basketball hoop in the pouring rain. I was a hard worker before, but not like him.”

Highschool & College Years (2020-2025)

Halley's love for the game made him a dominant force in high school because of his offensive bag work as a freshfur, even though he was around 5'1" at the young age of 13. He was a flashy player on playmaking and severely underrated as a defensive player. He averaged 16 points, 3 rebounds, 11 assists, and 4 steals, which led him to the state championships that year. He was the brains and brawn on that team, making smart plays on the floor and always doing the dirty work on defense.

In his last and senior year, Halley was just that good of a player; he played like a current FBA vet player in a high schooler's body. He averaged around 20 points with a 51 FG%, 45 3PT%, 4 rebounds, a whopping 16 assists, and 5 steals in his last year of high school. His ball-handling skills were impeccable, and he always embarrassed the defender with his signature move, "The Halley Slide." His defense was menacing, and he always locked up the best defender; his opponent could barely score around 10 points on him. But what really made him popular was his flashy passes, and he was so good at passing, he could even make his bad teammates into top-ranked players. He got a bunch of college offers from D1 schools across the state, but he chose Kirkwood University in Oakland because not only did his grandparents live there, but they were also the first ones that offered him first. Coach Red from Kirkwood was in desperate need of a point guard after his other one had just graduated, and his best player, Jace Guylar (who also got drafted in the 2025 FBA Draft), needed some help in the frontcourt because he was the only player who had to drag his team for some wins. Halley accepted playing at Kirkwood University and waved his parents a “see you later, after I get back from college.”

When he attended Kirkwood University, Coach Red introduced him to Jace Guylar. At first Jace thought he was a girl because of the feminine clothing he had and tried being polite with him, saying, “Hey Ma'am, you're my new point guard, right?” And Halley said with a boyish tone, “Yea, and you’re gonna love me when I start passing.” Which made Jace perplexed because he had never seen a femboy before.

The two immediately hit it off and started training together, learning what strengths they had. In his drills and training on scrimmage, he was their best 2nd player on the team, scoring 16 points, 14 assists, and 5 steals in that match. Red knew that with his high basketball IQ, ball-handling, and gritty defense, they could have a good shot at winning the March Madness title.

In his first season, Halley was calling all shots and running plays for his team since his high school days. Not only was he good at running plays and throwing lobs to his teammate Jace, but he was also a monster on defense and snagged steals when his opponents were getting clamped up by him. One of his teammates gave him the nickname “Bunny Buckets” due to his insane 3-point sniper range, and he can be lethal when he's hot when he has the ball in his hand. After their season was finished, he was averaging 13 points, 2 rebounds, 11 assists, and 3 steals per game. He thought that he and his team could easily win a title because of how dominant they were, but in reality, they got embarrassed in the semi-finals because of a Timber Wolf named Scott Hayes. And for the first time in his career, he failed his team, and it was ranked as one of the biggest choke jobs of all time. He was in the locker room bawling his eyes out, and to make it even worse, his best teammate, Jace, was declaring for the 2025 FBA Draft. And since he didn’t want to start from scratch and carry the team, he also decided to join in the draft as well. His coach tried telling him that it was an extremely risky move, but Halley had already made up his mind, and the coach couldn’t really do anything, so he let him go and pursue his dream of playing in the FBA. Now Halley is sitting down at the table and just hopes that any 24 teams are going to figure out how good Halley really was. And maybe, just maybe, he might get selected in the 2025 FBA Draft.

Draft Combine

Halley was ranked 23rd out of 48 players at the draft combine; however, he excelled as a shooter, placing 2nd in stationary and 1st in non-stationary shooting drills. Despite his team's losing twice in the FBA combine game, he bizarrely emerged as a top 3 prospect in the 2025 draft class, which puzzled media observers due to his poor rebounding and post-defense capabilities.

Highschool/College Stats

Highschool: PPG: 20.7 | RPG: 4.4 | APG: 16.9 | SPG: 5.1 | BPG: 0.4 | FG%: 51% | 3P%: 45% | FT: 90% |
College: PPG: 13.8 | RPG: 2.6 | APG: 11.9 | SPG: 3.0 | BPG: 0.3 | FG%: 50% | 3P%: 39% | FT: 86% |

Strengths:
- Plays like if a veteran player is inside a 18 year old Rabbit’s body. Can easily understand any plays he runs with, high motor, and understands tempo.
- Halley has insane handles what streetballers do. With his explosive first quick step makes him almost unguardable when he blows by.
- The rabbit can easily find open shooters anywhere or cutters driving down the lane by his flashy passes or set pick and rolls for bigs.
- Can lockdown almost anyone at the perimeter due to his speed and long 6'4" wingspan as a 6'0" guard. Can swipe or intercept the ball easily.
- Can shoot lights out from three when he's open. Can easily get hot from both corners.

Weaknesses
- Halley is Insanely underweighted as a guard, and could easily be bullied by stronger guards during post-ups.
- Can't grab boards due to how undersized he is, listed 6'0" tall. Rarely even gets it during boxout when the opponent miss the shot.
- The rabbit has a shocking 21" standing vert and a 27.5" moving vert, making him an easy target by defensive bigfurs when he shoots close from the basket.
- Is pretty inconsistent when it comes from shooting. Can either give a 8/11 from the three point line to a 3/10 the next game.
