Biography
Little Marine is as French as they come. Boastful, love wine and cheese but also as a particular knack for a thing called basketball. While the last part is rather particular, for Marine, she has grown fond of that sport. Growing up in Strasbourg, she didn’t have a soccer field near her house but a basketball court. Being a curious ratty, she used to venture and people around playing would allow her to play during breaks for fun, and what she liked to do was “Tire la boule!” (shoot the ball in french) and the little ratty loved that! As time went on, the court became her learning ground as she became quite good at shooting the ball in fact. Even being small and “stocky” in nature, it seemed to have helped her as over the times she developed into her own shooting form of her own that was highly accurate.
Once she started to improve that much, it followed her all the way to college, as she continued to work into her sharp offense, but would also do the work to be less than a liability on other parts of her game, such as dribbling and also her defense. While having a short stature, she tried to use her sturdiness and tried to be hard to play as she was the rare type of short player having success in taking charging fouls. All this work had a goal for her; She wished that one day she would be good enough to represent her home country on an international level, but also wanted to show her mettle with the best of the best: The FBA. While she was primarily a EFBL fan, she was a great supporter of alumnis that came from the EFBL, such as Aurora Hopkins and Jean-Ferdinand Giroux-Krier ( products from Paris Saint-Chien). One of her favorite players in the FBA was Saphira Kelly, not only for her sharp offense, but how much of a fun gremlin she was. She appreciates the fun spirit she has, as well as some of the others in the league and was hoping that she would be able to join the lot in the future.
She would finish college and then try to get herself a shot at joining in the EFBL. She eventually participated in an open tryout for the Marseille Mariners (Les Marins de Marseilles) . Her improved offensive play as well as all the hard work she put into her perimeter defense (not to mention her infectious good humor and attitude) earned her a contract with Marseille. Going on two seasons, she managed to work her way to a semi-regular starting job with the Mariners, as well as being in the top 5 in the EFBL in shooting percentage and three points percentage. Then came the biggest moment of her young life; from a recommendation from Marseille to the France Basketball Federation, she would eventually earn a bench role with the French National team for the Olympics games. This is then also in sort a way for her to show what she can do on the greatest stage and eventually impress the FBA scouts for the upcoming 2024 FBA draft to finally go overseas and accomplish yet another life goal for the french ratty.
As stated before, she is really proud and boastful of her French heritage. She has great taste for wines and cheeses and one of her favorite hobbies is collecting old vinyls and old French musicians.
