Biography

Two words come to mind when coaches talk about Jen; Determined, and quiet, with good reason. When your mom and older sister are contracted escorts, and your dads a Gigolo, what options does one growing up around this do? The answer came to Jen one day on her way home from High School. She rounded the corner to her block in time to see a Basketball bouncing toward her. She grabbed it and saw a bunch of kids down the block down the block holding up their arms wanting to her to pass. Instead, Jen dropped her book bag and ran dribbling the ball, kind of awkwardly, toward the hoop and sunk what would have been a 3 pointer. The kids, impressed at what they saw started bombarding her with questions. Who taught you? Do you watch the FBA? Do you play on your school team? Who’s your favorite player? The next day at school, she heard that the basketball team was looking for two new players to replace the other two who got booted the previous week. Deciding she had nothing to lose she went to tryouts. She was of course a little clumsy, being her first time actually trying out, but she was determined to be good at something. By the end of tryouts, coach brought Jen in as a bench forward. When she told her parents, they were reluctant of her playing, but supported Jen in her choice. Next year she tried out again, and became starting forward for her team, played a big role in getting them to the state championships, and winning them two years in a row. College for Jen nearly turned into a catastrophe when both the colleges she applied for turned her down, which weighed heavily on her during graduation. What would happen if she couldn’t succeed in something she was obviously good at? The thought made her sick to her stomach. The day after her graduation she received a full sports scholarship from Phoenix University in Tucson, AZ. Jen happily accepted. Throughout her college years, her coaches were impressed and shocked that she didn’t receive a scholarship from some bigger university. They also noticed when they mentioned or asked her about her parents she’d become unusually silent, so they left her alone about it. Jen also became good friends with her scout at the time Hector, before he left to become the owner of a FBA team. She would have entered the FBA draft last season, but was strongly advised by coaches and Hector to finish up her schooling. Fresh out of college now, she hopes to make a name for herself in the FBA.
