Biography

As a general rule, skunks don't tend to make natural basketball stars. Sonja Tinker (Bigfur, PIT) may buck that trend, but overall skunks tend to be adept at sports where agility and litheness are more apparent, rather than size and reach. However just like Sonja, there are exceptions to that rule - and Andi Sekforde certainly turns that perception on its head. Hailing from Pittsburgh, where he was both born and trained, Andi is unlike any skunk in the city bar Sonja herself, big tall and incredibly handsome. Such was his obviously alpha qualities growing up it gave the young skunk as many issues as it did perks as numerous suitors were clamouring to get with a guy who was unlike anyone else in the species, a skunk that looked the complete opposite of the typical lothario skunk archetype - neither skinny nor short, Andi was tall and of quite a size - an irresistable combination that led to girls fawning over him almost anywhere he went at school and University. Whilst fun at first - it soon became of annoyance - and Andi felt frustrated that no-one seemed to know anything about him bar his unusually adonis like figure. Naturally falling into a jock crowd due to his obvious athleticism, Andi may not have found his kin (he is quite a lot shyer and centered than a lot of his compatriots and had a tendency to steal pred girls from under the noses of his more commonly predator teammates) he did however find something that he could channel those frustrations into - basketball. Having natural skills at dribbling the ball behind his back without looking, he was quickly trained up to join the first team and has never looked back - continuing to condition his body and win admirers. Playing power forward, he would be one of the shortest power forwards in the league, but for his still large size he has deceptive ball handling qualities and uses clever behind the back dribbles to bamboozles guards who haven't been doing their homework. He is also relatively strong for his size and is not easily intimidated by the 7 footers he has faced up until this point. Becoming a huge success for Two Points University, he has even more admiration then before - and has started to enjoy the attention much more - knowing that those who love him didn't just love him for his looks but for the success he brang to the school and his exciting skills on the court. As a result, he became somewhat less shy and plays up to his stereotype as a 'skunk hunk' much more, coifering his hair and blowing kisses to the crowd. He isn't without some narcissism either, and is known for spraying bucket loads of aftershave on before each match. He has also gone through a contraversial procedure to chemically press his tail, removing the distinctive smell of a skunk - and replaced with a smell not unlike cologne. He bewitches wherever he goes, but whether he can bewitch on the court will depend if he can still perform at power forward up against larger opponents on a regular basis. He is a big shirt seller to the female demographic and affectionate and amorous fans follow him everywhere.

Dakota

He had hoped to go to his home team of Pittsburgh, but Andi was instead drafted by the Dakota Bikers. A natural fit for the team, Andi found adapting to franchise a cinch and showed promise in his early days. However as the money started to flow in from contracts and endorsements, it enabled an extreme playboy lifestyle which has now become his normal routine, and has continued to overshadow his currently fairly mediocre Bikers career to date. Andi lived with six girlfriends currently, who he engaged with in his own personal female entourage. It was widely reported the hedonistic lifestyle of Sekforde, (which included games of credit card roulette, champagne and sexual shenanigans) were much more likely to hit the papers than his actual basketball career. This has rubbed many people up the wrong way, including his teammates, and even former entourage girls who have released kiss and tells on this wild romantic rover. His physical qualities had so far kept him in the FBA, but many felt Andi had to start to apply himself if he is ever to become more than a sensational sideshow in the league, and a parody of himself.

The problem appeared to be how to stop. The attention of females and the protective circle he has formed around himself, but when you are as happy as Andi, why get off the rollercoaster? The answer came abruptly towards the end of his Dakota career when he nearly declared himself bankrupt. With no contract in sight, he tried to apply himself and started to train harder, but a crazed fan broke into his condo and attacked and shaved the skunk for spurning him at the stadium on one occassion. The fan got prison time, but the road back for Andi was long and traumatic, with the skunk experiencing severe flashbacks and confidence issues which he tried to get himself back. The skunk, now much meeker than people seemed to remember somehow captured the hearts of some fans who saw his attempts at coming back as brave. However Dakota were not willing to offer the bench-warmer a contract, despite a good final playoffs for the team. One of the famous harem - a Cypriot skunk called Stefani stood by his side throughout the therapy, but Andi's regret is that the skunk now had no interest in being any more than friends, Andi feeling she is 'the one that got away'.

Saved By The Lone Stars and onto Oregon

Believing the skunk was capable of changing, the basketball world was shocked when Texas offered the skunk not only a lifeline but a half decent contract with it. An emotional Andi accepted able to clear his debts and the now clean skunk turned to therapy, singing and training hard to prove himself. He had one relapse which nearly got him kicked off the team, a small party with the team at his home getting out of control as Andi fell into old habits, which brought the criticism of the league and attempts were made to make him the poster boy of male chavinism and inequality in the league. However, thankfully for Andi, he received merely a fine and Andi scared of losing it all again swore off alcohol and women and instead concentrated on his game and his friendships with his Texas team-mates, including Marcus Knight who has now become a role model to the skunk. In 2019, the skunk managed to break into the starting line-up for a consistent stint, albeit for a team still struggling to get anywhere near the playoffs. A new clean and clearly bulkier Andi tried to remain on the right track, is it all too late? With Texas drafting first in 2020 and bringing in Berty Lavoie-Williams in his position, Andi joined up with an agency in an attempt to boost his career and improve his public image.

Andi had quietly impressed fans as a benchwarmer and has become a 'steady eddie' amongst a struggling Texas side. His friendship with Marcus Knight even blossomed into a full blown bromance, with Marcus' kids calling him 'Uncle Andi', perhaps a real sign of how much Marcus trusts his mustelid friend despite the perceived image of the press. Andi has become a major part of Marcus Knight's family and the skunk is eternally grateful for the normality it provides him. He wants to pay Marcus back by making this a springboard for better performances for himself. With the franchise now on the move to Oregon to become the Swashbucklers, Andi is still largely the sober individual, although he has tried to bring more balance to his life again with mixed results, mainly because he is too frightened to ever mess up his life again.

Can Andi finally prove that he is beyond a joke? His biggest weapon maybe the fact many underestimate him.
