The 2020-21 Alaska Arctics season was the 27th season of the franchise in the Furry Basketball Association (FBA).

Season Summary

After a disappointing 2019-20 season, the Alaska Arctics entered the offseason with a steep hill to climb back up. Management brought in Miguel Hernandez, former director of the Claiborne University athletics program, to act as both the new head coach and to serve as an assistant general manager alongside Evgeny Zaitsev. Free agency saw many surprising and controversial moves, starting with rumours that the team would not offer a new contract to captain and starting point guard Devon Kellendyne. These rumours were later confirmed when the team performed a sign-and-trade deal that sent both Naima King and the 4th pick of the draft to the Baltimore Spirits in exchange for star point guard Alessandro Serra. Not long after this, Ogun Okayu was named as team captain. During the draft, the team signed Briarcliff Poorjohn, adding her to their young core of bench players.

The Arctics held their own throughout a gruelling, hotly-contested season in the Western Conference. The starting line maintained its defensive focus with captain Ogun Okayu and power forward Mark Gerena Jr., but with bolstered offensive and playmaking abilities coming from Serra. Veterans Augustin Benoit and Evan Marshall rounded out the starting line, with Augustin Benoit maintaining his consistent offensive style and Marshall acting as a balanced backup.

Breakout bench performances included sophomore players Lady Black and Harmonie Okayu. Midway through the season, Harmonie Okayu's consistent performances led to her taking over the starting small forward position from Marshall. Late in the season, the team traded bench bigfur Kendrick Komminsk and reserve guard Aisha Card to the Williamsburg Minutemen for Timothy Svengaard and Luukas Hirvonen.

Following a season of intense competition in the Western Conference with tight margins between top- and low-ranked teams, the Arctics entered the playoffs with the 7th Western seed. The team was eliminated in the first round by the Las Vegas Wildcards.
