Theme: A young coach gets his first chance with a struggling team predicted to underachieve. He is a man of ethics and values and isn't above pulling players who struggle to perform or hurt the team. Personality: Stern and stoic - VERY Bill Belchick-ian during his early career in Cleveland. Smart guy who knows his game, just needs experience.

Nickname: "Straight-Edge" Mr. Billcheck

Looks: Walter is a light brown porcupine whose starting to reach the later stages in his life. His quills start starting to tip grey and as his metabolism has slowed down, he's begun to gain a bit of a paunch. He wears glasses but for photoshots like these, he's more then likely to wear contacts.

He's not a big fan of marketing gimmicks like these, he just wants this to be over so he can get back to reviewing film. He's almost always frowning, and if drawn with a smile, it'll look somewhat forced.

Personal Background:

A 2 star recruit coming out of Chatlotteville, Walter was never more than a spot starter/back-up guard. While Walter's game was below average, his high level of awareness and court IQ gave him talent for understanding how a play would unfold well before it happened. By Walter's junior year, he was placed on deep reserve but didn't want to leave the game. On advice from his head coach, Walt started to transition to a coaching role.

Walter spent 8 years at Pack Territory University, working his way up from a graduate school film analyst to an assistant coach role. He finally got his big head coaching chance at Appalachian Mammal College, where he took the team to their first playoff berth in 20 years, and first final 8 in 40. But when hit with a string of bad luck rolls and injuries resulted in back to back losing reasons, Walter was giving his walking papers.

Walter was spent the last 5 years bouncing between the FBA and college leagues in a series of assistant roles, but his big break came when a chance opportunity came for him to coach the newly knighted Texas Lone Stars. After a mid-season meltdown left TXS without a coach, Walter interviewed and gained the interim position.

While his record has been extremely poor, management expectations are low and they see promising things, and are considering a 1 year extension.

Strength: Quantified analysis, No non-sense communication,

Weakness: Lacks experience, has mood problems (grumpy) last empathy. Will chew someone out without a care to their personal feelings. Is not known for his pep talks, refuses to talk to the media, and refuses to embrace new media (no twitter)
